Steve Bisgrove - Rome
Steve started his professional photographic career in the mid eighties after studying photography at Newcastle College of Arts in the North East of England. Prior to moving to Rome in 1995 he first opened a studio in central London where he specialized in shooting still life and architectural photography for a mixture of ad agencies, magazines and architects. In 1990, he transferred to Milan where his various clients included the magazines Casa Vogue and Amica. In Rome he has shot photographs for Saatchi and Saatchi and other advertising agencies. On one assignment he had to photograph a scooter in the famous Trevi Fountain. Nowadays in Rome he prefers to photograph the people and urban landscapes that are sometimes overlooked by the less attentive observer. His work has been recognized by the British Association of Photographers and the Royal Photographic Society, and he has won awards or been accredited with an honourable mention in the Prix della Photographie Paris Px3 for three consecutive years.
Gari Wyn Williams - Rome
Gari is from Wales and has been involved in creative photography for many years. He studied photography at South Fields College in Leicester while working as a part time photographer for Associated Sports Photography. In Rome he has worked as a press photographer for Olympia Publifoto covering social, current affairs issues and producing travel stock of Italy. His work has been published in numerous worldwide publications like Time Magazine, Washington Post, The Times, The Guardian, La Stampa and Vogue Magazine and is often used as book covers by best selling authors like John Updike, Minette Walters, Kate Atkinson and Lynne Hinton. His passion is people photography, focusing mainly on capturing those fleeting moments in time. For Gari Rome is an incredible city, a stage in constant movement and evolution, a city to discover time and time again.
Antonio Tiso - Rome
A true Roman and perfectly fluent in English, Antonio has published his photography in Le Monde, Courrier International, Geo France, La Repubblica, L'Espresso, Sette, Corriere della Sera, Popoli, Aggiornamenti Sociali, Sophot, Il Manifesto, Nigrizia, Peace Reporter, Witness Journal, and Amnesty International-Germany.
He has collaborated with Reporters Sans Frontières, Unhcr, Cisp, Terres des Hommes, Invision Images Photo Agency, Upter University, Uil Web Tv, Uisp, Enel Cuore Onlus, Regione Lazio, and others.
Antonio teaches “Photography and visual stories” at the Popular University of Roma since 2008. He joined Imaging In Italy in 2010.
Simone Bacci - Florence
Simone Bacci was born in Florence in 1961 and began studying photography in 1982. Three years later, he opened a joint commercial studio working in theatre, portraiture and advertising, and began teaching photography for a university association.
In 1989 he began collaborating with Studio Marangoni in the development of a three year Photography program, with participation from many visiting artists. He began his teaching Italian and foreign students, and has worked with American universities since 1991.
In addition to teaching at Santa Reparata International School of Art, Simone teaches at Studio Marangoni and APAB/Sif. He was commissioned by the towns of San Casciano, and the Province of Milan in urban landscape and environmental photography. Working in both analog black and white and digital color photography, his personal research involves the study of the elemental components of the landscape, the “void” or absence, and the psychological side of the picture process.
Vinicio Tassani - Venice
Born in Venice, free lance photographer; Photography is his way of life, a constant search for the best creative image, and indeed a passion.
A travel/documentary photographer, his fortè lies in capturing people in cityscapes and landscapes. He applies the experience of travel photography to portraiture while capturing spontaneous action and emotion of his subject.
His range of experience is broad and the overarching goal is always the same -- to capture the human element, to immortalize a moment in time reflective of life’s nuances, mystery and beauty.
Venicio's photography is published in books, magazines, and exhibitions throughout Italy. He was trained at the New York Institute of Photography. He speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Italian.
