Glass blowing in murano

Murano is one of the world’s most famous landmarks and tourist attractions, made famous for its exquisite Venetian Glass.

Murano is comprised of five islands and has about 4600 inhabitants. The main activity in Murano island is the production of artistic glass, (Murano is also called "the glass island”). We’ll visit an artistic glass blowing demonstration in one of the last real venetian glass factories,  and learn how to shoot glass blowing in the natural light coming from the furnace as these artists create masterpieces in colorful glass.

Burano is a colorful Adriatic gem that features quaint buildings lining canals linked by a multitude of bridges.  Only minutes away from Morano, Burano offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Venetian seacoast.  Comprised of  four smaller islands, it has a population of about 2800 inhabitants. The main activities on Burano island are fishing, dock yarding (making boats) and the production of lace.

After a short tour we’ll stop for a lunch in one of the most famous restaurant located in this colorful island but - don’t forget the main scope of this tour: photography! We'll stroll through fantastic locations where you will have suggestions on how to read light and colors to create memorable images.
